Changes: The Songs of David Bowie 1964–2016 is a comprehensive exploration of the life and work of one of the most iconic musicians of the twentieth century. It offers an in-depth analysis of each of Bowie’s songs, providing insights into his creative process, musical influences, and the cultural context in which each song was written. Organised chronologically, it guides the reader through each phase of Bowie’s career, from his early days as a folk-rock singer to his emergence as a glam rock icon, and his later experiments with electronic music.
